EMMANUEL ACADEMIES COMMENCED A PROGRAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF COLLIER COUNTY TO HELP ADULT COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO INCREASE THEIR COMPREHENSION AND SPEAKING AND WRITING SKILLS OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. THE TARGETED OUTCOMES OF IMPROVED ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND BE UNDERSTOOD BY NON-SPANISH LANGUAGE SPEAKERS INCLUDES ENHANCED QUALITY OF LIFE, ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEIR CHILDRENS EDUCATORS, IMPROVED EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND GREATER CONFIDENCE AS MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. 6 PEOPLE BENEFITED.
