THE BOISE PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION, INC. WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1985 TO GENERATE INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS AND FACILITATES DONATIONS TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE AND MOTIVATING PROGRAMS IN THE BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE FOUNDATION IS A COMMUNITY-BASED SUPPORT EFFORT, SEPARATE FROM THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS, BUT WORKING COOPERATIVELY WITH THEM.

DISTRICT SCHOOL CLASSROOM PROJECTSTHE FOUNDATION FACILITATES RESTRICTED DONATIONS TO INDIVIDUAL CLASSROOMS, SCHOOLS, PROJECTS, AND DISTRICT PROGRAMS IN THE BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT DURING THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR.
PARENT GROUPSTHE FOUNDATION FACILITATES PARENT GROUPS WITH DONATIONS TO SCHOOLS, PROJECTS, AND DISTRICT PROGRAMS IN THE BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT DURING THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR.
S.A.F.E. AND S.A.F.E./COVID-19 RELIEF FUNDS.A.F.E. WAS CREATED TO ASSIST STUDENTS IN THE BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH IMMEDIATE BASIC NEEDS. THE S.A.F.E. PROGRAM HAS A VERY SIMPLE AND FAR-REACHING GOAL; TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY FUNDS TO HELP BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS STAY IN SCHOOL. LOW-INCOME, AT RISK STUDENTS HAVE A VARIETY OF NEEDS RANGING FROM SCHOOL SUPPLIES, CLOTHING, AND PERSONAL NEEDS, TO PARTICIPATE IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, TO RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE. ALTHOUGH THE BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT RECEIVES A FEDERAL GRANT TO SERVE HOMELESS STUDENTS, THE S.A.F.E. PROGRAM TARGETS THOSE STUDENTS WHO ARE OUTSIDE THE FEDERAL GRANT REQUIREMENTS AND ARE AT RISK AND OPERATING NEAR HOMELESSNESS. THE S.A.F.E. COVID FUND WAS CREATED TO ASSIST STUDENTS IN THE BOISE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THEIR FAMILIES IMPACTED BY THE CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 PANDEMIC WITH IMMEDIATE BASIC NEEDS.
