ASSISTED SIGHT IMPAIRED LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS BY PAYING FOR OR ASSISTING IN PAYING FOR EYE EXAMS AND CORRECTIVE LENSES AND SURGERY. DURING THE PAST FISCAL YEAR, 46 INDIVIDUALS WERE ASSISTED WITH THE COST OF EYE EXAMS AT $60 EACH, AND 97 VOUCHERS FOR $50 EACH WERE GIVEN OUT TO ASSIST WITH THE COST OF CORRECTIVE LENSES. 4 OTHER INDIVIDUALS WERE ASSISTED WITH SPECIFIC EYE GLASS PURCHASES, AND 1 INDIVIDUAL WAS ASSISTED WITH EYE SURGERY EXPENSES.3 CERTIFICATION EXAMS WERE PAID FOR THE MONTANA SCHOOL OF THE DEAF AND BLIND. A BRAILLE MACHINE WERE PURCHASED FOR AN INDIVIDUAL.
