THE TRANSATLANTIC FORUM FOR EDUCATION AND DIPLOMACY DEVELOPS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING CONNECTING THE WORLD OF INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMACY TO UNIVERSITY COMMUNITIES, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON TRANSATLANTIC RELATIONS AND THE UNIVERSITY CURRICULUM, WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON THE ROLE OF THE HUMANITIES IN FOSTERING CULTURAL LITERACY, PRESERVING CULTURAL HERITAGE AND CONTRIBUTING TO GLOBAL UNDERSTANDING. TO CARRY OUT ITS MISSION, THE TRANSATLANTIC FORUM FOR EDUCATION AND DIPLOMACY CONDUCTS THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS EDUCATIONAL EXEMPT PURPOSES: AS PART OF ITS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING EFFORTS, TFED FACILITATES LECTURES, CLASSES, AND FORUMS THAT BRING INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED DIPLOMATS AND GLOBAL LEADERS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL AND TO OTHER PARTNERING INSTITUTIONS, IN ORDER TO FOSTER COLLABORATIVE ENGAGEMENT.
