GENERAL PROGRAMS - THE 3RS COLLABORATIVE GENERAL PROGRAMS ADVANCE THE 3RS GENERALLY AS A CONCEPT AS WELL AS SPECIFIC 3RS TOPICS. IN 2022, THIS INCLUDES DRAFTING A 3RS CERTIFICATE COURSE, PRESENTATIONS ON HOME CAGE MONITORINGS, 8 PRESENTATIONS ON REFINED MOUSE HANDLING, AND CREATING RESOURCES ON ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH MONITORING. THESE EFFORTS HELP SCIENTISTS IMPROVE THE LIVES OF RESEARCH ANIMALS, USE FEWER OF THEM PER EXPERIMENT, AND REPLACE THEM ALTOGETHER.
OTHER PROGRAMS - COMPASSION FATIGUE, 3RS CERTIFICATE, TDB, DEVELOPMENT AND RHM.
MPS - THE 3RS MPS INITIATIVE HAS HELPED IN ADVANCING ACCEPTANCE OF MICROPHYSIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS AS A METHOD TO REFINE, REDUCE, AND REPLACE THE USE OF ANIMALS IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN 2022. COMMUNICATIONS/EDUCATION/OUTREACH - THE 3RS COMMUNCATION/EDUCATION/OUTREACH PROGRAM MAINTAINED A FREE, OPEN-ACCESS WEBSITE WITH OVER 30 RESOURCE PAGES, SENDS REGULAR NEWSLETTER EDUCATING STAKEHOLDERS ON RESOURCES/ARTICLES/WEBINARS, AND SUPPORTS CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS.
