THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO BE A LEGITIMATE AND PROACTIVE VOICE TO ADVOCATE FOR THE INTERESTS OF RETIRED DALLAS POLICE OFFICERS, THEIR SURVIVING BENEFICIARIES, ACTIVE DROP POLICE OFFICERS, AND AFFILIATE (NONVOTING MEMBERS, BY: A. STRIVING FOR FAIR AND EQUITABLE BENEFITS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LEGAL PROTECTION, FOR ALL RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OF THE DALLAS POLICE DEPARTMENT; B. PARTICIPATING IN THE EXECUTIVE AND LEGISLATIVE LEVELS OF THE CITY AND STATE GOVERNMENT BY PROVIDING INPUT TO ANY ELECTED OR APPOINTED OFFICIAL, COMMISSION, COMMITTEE, ETC; C. PROMOTING SOCIAL FELLOWSHIP AMONG THE MEMBERSHIP; D. INCORPORATING AMONG THE MEMBERS A CLOSER PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP, AND FOR THE GATHERING, RECEIVING, AND DISSEMINATION OF SUCH INFORMATION AS MAY BE HELPFUL TO OUR MEMBERS IN THE PURSUIT OF OUR OBJECTIVES; E.
