THE TREATMENTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AWARDED 21 TREATMENT SCHOLARSHIPS TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH THE PAYMENT OF TREATMENT
SOUTH CAROLINA IS ONE OF THE TOP 2 STATES IN THE COUNTRY FOR NEW HIV AND HVC DIAGNOSIS. WAKE UP CAROLINA IS ONE OF THREE RECOVERY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS HELPING TO LINK HIGH-RISK POPULATIONS (INDIVIDUALS WHO USE SUBSTANCES AND HIGH RISK BEHAVIORS) IN SOUTH CAROLINA TO RAPID HIV AND HVC TESTING, AND LINKAGE TO MEDICAL CARE AND RECOVERY SUPPORT RESOURCES.
WAKE UP CAROLINA OFFERS ASSISTANCE TO AFFECTED INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES BY PROVIDING A SAFE SPACE, PEER-SUPPORT, COACHING, TRAINING, TESTING STRIPS, AND WEEKLY MEETINGS THAT AIM TO BRING AWARENESS, EDUCATION, AND HOPE TO THOSE AFFECTED.
