THE MCDAVID GROUP CHARITIES HOSTS THE ANNUAL "GOLF FOR COPS PRO-AM GOLF TOURNAMENT" WHICH BENEFITS THE SURVIVING FAMILIES OF AMERICA'S FALLEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. THE NET PROCEEDS ARE EARMARKED TO SUPPORT COPS HANDS-ON PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS PROVIDE EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND OTHER INITIATIVES TO HELP SURVIVING SPOUSES AND THE CHILDREN THAT ARE AFFECTED BY A LINE-OF-DUTY DEATH AND THE AMERICA'S HEROS SCHOLARSHIP FUND TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO TEENS AND SPOUSES OF FALLEN LAW ENFORCEMENT. ONCE A YEAR THE NET PROCEEDS OF THE GOLF TOURNAMENT ARE DISTRIBUTED IN THE FORM OF A CHECK TO COPS AND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF PALM BEACH AND MARTIN COUNTIES FOR THE AMERICAN'S HEROS SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
