THINK OUTSIDE DA BLOCK AIMS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF DISADVANTAGED YOUTH & BUILD HEALTHY COMMUNITIES. TO ACHIEVE THIS OBJECTIVE WE MUST ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSES OF SOCIAL NORMS AND HEALTH INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.

GETCHA MIND RIGHT IS A TRAUMA AWARENESS PROGRAM THAT AIMS TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITY. THIS PROGRAM WAS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A SAFE SPACE WHERE YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS CAN BEGIN TO ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSES OF TRAUMA THROUGH GROUP THERAPY AND PEER TO PEER SUPPORT.
THIS 8 MILE COMMUNITY BIKE TOUR DETERS VIOLENCE & ADDRESSES PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERNS IN GREATER ENGLEWOOD WHILE PROMOTING HEALTH AND WELLNESS AMONGST RESIDENTS. PARTICIPANTS ARE ALSO PROVIDED AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD IN A POSITIVE LIGHT THEY'RE CONNECTED TO RESOURCES AND PROVIDED AN OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE POSITIVE INTERACTIONS WITH LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT.
