BUILDING HEALTHY DRUG & ALCOHOL FREE COMMUNITIES THAT SUPPORT HAWAII YOUTH IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH FITNESS, EDUCATION AND MENTORING.

THE FOUNDATION OPERATES 4 CROSSFIT GYMS THROUGHOUT KAUAI TO PROVIDE A SAFE DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE YOUTH OF KAUAI. ALL GYMS PROVIDE PERSONAL MENTORSHIP TO KAUAI'S YOUTH SO KIDS KNOW THEY BELONG AND ARE LOVED WHILE RECEIVING PHYSICAL FITNESS AND POSITIVITY. KEALA TRAINED AND MENTORED OVER 500 KIDS THIS YEAR. WE OFFER 7 CLASSES PER DAY FOR A TOTAL OF 28 CLASSES PER WEEK THAT SERVE KIDS AGES 5-18 FROM KEKAHA TO ANAHOLA. KEALA CONTINUED ITS EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAM FOR MALE TEENAGERS WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVING 16 KIDS. KEALA OFFERS MANY WEEKLY ACTIVITIES TO ALL MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SUCH AS TUTORING, EXCURSIONS, CAMPING TRIPS, MEDITATION WORKOUTS AND SERVICE PROJECTS.


EACH YEAR, THE FOUNDATION HOSTS THE HUGELY POPULAR ULTIMATE HAWAIIAN TRAIL RUN. THIS ISLAND RACE IS BOTH BEAUTIFUL AND CHALLENGING AND WE COMPLETED OUR 10TH ANNUAL RACE THIS YEAR 1,500 PEOPLE FROM THE ISLAND AND ALL OVER THE WORLD PARTICIPATED IN THIS YEARS RUN: 600 KIDS (FREE) AND 900 ADULTS.
