COMMUNITY GREENING IS A COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION THAT PLANTS AND MAINTAINS TREES AT PUBLIC PARKS, VACANT CITY LOTS, AND NEIGHBORHOODS.

PARKS & SCHOOLS: COMMUNITY GREENING PARTNERS WITH CITIES AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO INCREASE THE TREE CANOPY PRIMARILY IN LOW-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS. THE ORGANIZATION HOSTS VOLUNTEER PLANTING EVENTS THAT INTRODUCE RESIDENTS TO THE PARK SYSTEM, INCREASE SHADE ON SCHOOL CAMPUSES, AND EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF BEING OUTSIDE.
URBAN ORCHARDS: URBAN ORCHARDS ARE A COLLECTION OF FRUIT TREES THAT PROVIDE FREE FOOD TO THE COMMUNITY USING A "YOU-PICK" POLICY. THESE ONCE NEGLECTED LOTS ARE NOW VIBRANT GREENSPACES THAT ADDRESS FOOD ACCESSIBILITY, HEALTHY EATING, AND ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP.
