MAJOR PROGRAMS TEACHER APPRECIATION PACKAGETHE TEACHER APPRECIATION PACKAGE IS AN EFFORT BY MILLION DOLLAR TEACHER PROJECT TO CONNECT TEACHERS WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES IN THEIR COMMUNITY THROUGH A WEEK OF MEANINGFUL DISCOUNTS DURING NATIONAL EDUCATION MONTH OF NOVEMBER AND TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK IN MAY. THE GOAL OF THE T.A.P. PROGRAM IS TO ELEVATE THE SPENDING POWER OF TEACHERS IN ARIZONA WHOSE COMPENSATION DOES NOT KEEP UP WITH THEIR PERSONAL AND CLASSROOM NEEDS.BY TAPPING IN, LOCAL AND ONLINE BUSINESSES HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE TEACHERS IN THEIR COMMUNITY BY JUST DOING WHAT THEY DO BEST. BY PROMOTING BUSINESSES THAT SUPPORT TEACHERS, MILLION DOLLAR TEACHER PROJECT HOPES TO CREATE A MORE CONNECTED COMMUNITY THAT RISES TOGETHER TO MEET AND EXCEED THE NEEDS OF LOCAL HARD-WORKING EDUCATORS. MAJOR PROGRAMS TAKE A TEACHER TO LUNCHRECOGNITION PILLAR IMPACT & OUTCOMES TAKE A TEACHER TO LUNCH (TTL).MDTPS TAKE A TEACHER TO LUNCH (TTL) PROGRAM WAS LAUNCHED BACK IN 2016. THIS INITIATIVE ENSURES MEANINGFUL RECOGNITION FOR TEACHERS AND CONNECTION TO CAMPUS CULTURE BY BRINGING FULLY CATERED MEALS, PRIZE PACKAGES, GAMES, GUEST SPEAKERS, AND MORE TO SCHOOL CAMPUSES DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR. THIS YEAR, MDTP RECEIVED $38,465.51 IN DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS FOR THE TAKE A TEACHER TO LUNCH PROGRAM! MDTP BROUGHT THE PROGRAM TO 8 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS/DISTRICTS (5 PUBLIC AND 3 CHARTER).
MAJOR PROGRAMS CLASSROOM SUPPORT TEAMSUPPORT PILLAR IMPACT & OUTCOMES CLASSROOM SUPPORT TEAM (CST)THE CLASSROOM SUPPORT TEAM (CST) IS A TEAM OF INTERNS OR COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS SUPPORTING A GRADE LEVEL OF TEACHERS. THE PROGRAM RAN AT OUR FOCUS SCHOOLS, MADRID NEIGHBROHOOD SCHOOL AND THEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FROM SEPTEMBER 3RD, 2023 - MARCH 28TH, 2024, AND ASSISTED 6 TEACHERS. CST MEMBERS IMPACTED THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF 284 STUDENTS (4TH GRADES, 7TH GRADES, AND 8TH GRADES) THIS YEAR BY SUPPORTING THE LEAD TEACHERS. THIS YEAR, MDTP GAVE 1,314 HOURS AND 36 MINUTES BACK TO TEACHERS, AN IN-KIND VALUE OF $18,400.76.
