TWIN CITIES RECOVERY PROJECT LNC'S MISSION IS TO OFFER ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO THOSE SUFFERING FROM SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER IN THEIR TRANSITION TOWARD LIFESTYLES OF HEALTH AND PRODUCTIVITY BY OFFERING A DRUG FREE ENVIRONMENT AS WELL AS RESOURCES TO DEVELOP THE WHOLE PERSON.

Part 3 - Line 4a
PEER TO PEER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY - A 5 DAY, 8 HOUR A DAY TRAINING. UPON COMPLETION PARTICIPANTS GO FORWARD TO TAKE THE STATE EXAM TO BECOME CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALISTS. A CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALIST IS SOMEONE WITH PERSONAL LIVED EXPERIENCE IN RECOVERY ASSISTING CLIENTS IN NAVIGATING RESOURCES SUCH AS HOUSING, COACHING FOR JOB PREPARATION, ETC.
ONGOING OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
OPIOID OUTREACH - TO REDUCE THE STIGMA AND PROVIDE EDUCATION AND AWARENESS IN ADDRESSING THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC - DISTRIBUTION OF NAIOXNE, CLEAN SYRINGES, HYGIENE PRODUCTS AND OTHER ESSENTIAL NEEDS.
BOOTS ON THE GROUND - CONDUCTED A NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND SEVERAL OUTREACH EVENTS IN THE COMMUNITY GEARED TOWARDS THE INNER CITY MINORITY POPULATION ADDRESSING THE OPIOID USE CRISIS, IT'S STIGMA AND OFFERING SOLUTIONS TO THE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES EFFECTED.
