IN 2022 SHINE VOLUNTEERS WERE ABLE TO BE IN THE SCHOOLS IN BOTH THE FALL AND THE SPRING SEMESTERS CONTINUING TO FOCUS ON STUDENT ENRICHMENT, TEACHER SUPPORT, AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT. OUR CHURCH SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS NUMBERED IN EXCESS OF 20 AND WE CONTINUE TO WORK WITH CHURCHES TO FULFILL THE NEEDS OF APS TITLE 1 SCHOOLS.
SHINE DEVELOPED FAMILY ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES BY PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED SUPPORT TO STUDENTS & THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH APS TITLE I PROGRAMS IN WHICH WE BUILT CURRICULUM AND BEGAN THE PROCESS OF PROVIDING THESE SEMINARS. SHINE CONDUCTED FOUR SEMINARS OF GETTING AHEAD IN SPRING OF 2022 AND THREE SEMINARS OF GETTING AHEAD IN FALL OF 2022. GETTING AHEAD SEMINARS ENGAGE TITLE I FAMILIES TO IDENTIFY AND DEVELOP FINANCIAL OPPORTUNITIES AND LITERACY. STAYING AHEAD SEMINARS ENGAGE GETTING AHEAD GRADUATES OVER THE TWO YEARS FOLLOWING THEIR GRADUATION TO KEEP THEM MOVING TOWARDS THEIR FINANCIAL GOALS.
