IN 2021, WE WERE STILL DEALING WITH COVID AND VERY REDUCED HOURS WE COULD BE TOGETHER. SO WE CONTINUED OUR VIRTUAL PROGRAMS WHICH INCLUDED TALKS BY CLINTON DAVIS, WHOSE FATHER SERVED WITH THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN AND WARNER HOWARD WHO SPOKE ABOUT HIS NEW BOOK ON BLACK ATHLETES IN AUGUST COUNTY, VA. OUR INTERN PROGRAM HAS CONTINUED TO THRIVE. THE HISTORIC LUCY F. SIMMS SCHOOL IN HARRISONBURG, VA FOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDENTS NEVER HAD A YEAR BOOK. OUR INTERNS ARE CREATING ONE THAT WILL BE GIVEN TO GRADUATES AND THEIR FAMILIES. OUR ROOTS RUN DEEP TOURS LAUNCHED TWO TOURS IN 2021. THESE WALKING AND SELF-DRIVING TOURS HAVE BEEN WELL RECEIVED. FUNDING HAS BEEN RECEIVED TO EXPAND OUR TOURS INTO OTHER REGIONS OF THE SHENANDOAH VALLEY. WE WILL GATHER TOGETHER IN '22
