EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: GREENWOOD PROVIDES CREATIVITY-BASED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR PARTICIPANTS TO LEARN ABOUT THE LOCAL ECOLOGY, CONNECT TO PLACE, AND DEVELOP SKILLS FOR SUSTAINABLY MEETING NEEDS. ALL PROGRAMS APPLY NATURALIST TEACHINGS AND CREATIVE ARTS TO HELP PARTICIPANTS BECOME RESPONSIBLE STEWARDS OF THE NATURAL WORLD AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. IN 2021 WE OFFERED FIVE WEEKS OF IN-PERSON SUMMER CAMPS FOR CHILDREN AGES 5 TO 12 (171 PARTICIPANTS), FOUR WEEKEND CAMPS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR (57 PARTICIPANTS), AND TWO WEEKDAY PROGRAMS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR (53 PARTICIPANTS). GREENWOOD SERVED A TOTAL OF 281 PARTICIPANTS IN 51 DAYS OF IN-PERSON EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN 2021. GREENWOOD ALSO PROVIDED FREE ONLINE NATURE-BASED CRAFT EDUCATION.
