THE PURPOSE OF GOOD MARKET IS TO CATALYZE THE TRANSITION TO A 21ST CENTURY ECONOMY THAT IS GOOD FOR PEOPLE AND GOOD FOR THE PLANET. GOOD MARKET IS A CURATED PLATFORM FOR SOCIAL ENTERPRISES THAT MEET MINIMUM SECTOR STANDARDS, OPERATE IN A WAY THAT CONSIDERS HEALTH, SOCIAL IMPACT, AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AND PRIORITIZE PEOPLE AND PLANET OVER SHORT-TERM PROFIT MAXIMIZATION. THE ONLINE PLATFORM MAKES IT EASIER FOR PARTICIPANTS IN THE NEW ECONOMY TO FIND AND CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER ACROSS ECONOMIC SECTORS, INCOME LEVEL, LANGUAGE BARRIERS, AND REGIONAL DIVIDES. COMMUNITY CURATION: IN 2022, 586 SOCIAL ENTERPRISES, RESPONSIBLE BUSINESSES, COOPERATIVES, NONPROFITS, AND VOLUNTARY INITIATIVES BECAME GOOD MARKET APPROVED. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2022, THERE WERE 2,603 ENTERPRISES ACROSS 91 COUNTRIES ON THE GOOD MARKET PLATFORM, THE ONLINE FORM WAS AVAILABLE IN 7 LANGUAGES, AND THOUSANDS OF LISTINGS WERE ADDED TO THE COMMUNITY MARKETPLACE. THE PLATFORM INCLUDED ENTERPRISES ACROSS ALL SECTORS, BUT THE MOST POPULAR WERE REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE, NATURAL FOOD AND BODY CARE, FAIR TRADE CLOTHING AND HOUSEWARES, AND RESPONSIBLE TRAVEL. EACH ENTERPRISE HAS A DIFFERENT SOCIAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL PURPOSE.


ENABLING INFRASTRUCTURE: DURING 2022, THE SOFTWARE TEAM LAUNCHED THE MARKETPLACE COMMONS, NETWORK MANAGEMENT AND CURATION AS A SERVICE. THE TEAM ALSO COMPLETED THE REBUILD TO GIVE PLATFORMS PROGRESSIVE WEB APP (PWA) FUNCTIONALITY. THE FOCUS OF THESE DEVELOPMENTS IS TO STRENGTHEN NETWORKS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS BY PROVIDING TOOLS TO ENHANCE THE VISIBILITY OF THE MEMBERS WITHIN THE NETWORKS AND TO MAKE IT EASIER TO EXCHANGE AND COLLABORATE BETWEEN NETWORKS.
