THE CHAPTER IS ONE OF MANY IN THE FIRST TEE NETWORK. THE FIRST TEE IS REACHING YOUNG PEOPLE IN ALL 50 STATES AND SELECT INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS ON GOLF COURSES, IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, AND THROUGH OTHER YOUTH-SERVING ORGANIZATIONS. IN 2016, FIRST TEE BROUGHT CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH THE GAME OF GOLF TO MORE THAN 5.3 MILLION YOUNG PEOPLE. FIRST TEE OF GREATER WILMINGTON WAS OPERATED UNDER THE AUSPICES OF CAROL S. PETREA YOUTH GOLF FOUNDATION AND INCORPORATED IN 2015 AS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION OPERATING ON THEIR OWN.
