GLOBAL LEADERSHIP INTERNATIONAL IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PROVIDING LEADERSHIP TRAINING IN EMERGING AND DEVELOPING COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD WITH PARTICULAR FOCUS ON CENTRAL ASIA. THE ORGANIZATION'S MARQUEE EVENT IS ITS GLOBAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE CONDUCTED IN KABUL, AFGHANISTAN. THE INSTITUTE'S CURRICULUM IS DEVELOPED BY LEADERS FROM A VARIETY OF CONTEXTS AND FOCUSES ON COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL FOR EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP. ITS STRUCTURE IS A ONE-ACADEMIC-YEAR CAPACITY-BUILDING PROGRAM OFFERING APPROXIMATELY 200 CONTACT HOURS OF INSTRUCTION WITH PROFESSORS IN THE BEST PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF LEADERSHIP.

EDUCATION:DURING 2021, GLOBAL LEADERSHIP INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTED ITS INSTITUTE IN NORTHERN IRAQ TEACHING STUDENTS ABOUT MANY ASPECT OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. THE INSTITUTE CELEBRATED GRADUATION OF ITS INAUGURAL CLASS IN DECEMBER 2021. THE MAJORITY OF THESE STUDENTS HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST BACHELOR DEGREES IN VARIOUS FIELDS AND MANY ALREADY HAVE PROFESSIONAL JOBS. GLI'S AIM IS TO DEVELOP LEADERSHIP CAPACITY WITHIN POTENTIAL LEADERS IN UNDERDEVELOPED OR DEVELOPING CONTEXTS.
AID:IN RESPONSE TO THE CRISIS IN AFGHANISTAN, GLI WAS ABLE TO DEPLOY DOLLARS TO SUPPORT HUMANITARIAN NEEDS. THESE DOLLARS WERE SPENT ON FOOD AND SAFE HOUSING NEEDS IN SUPPORT OF AFGHANS WITHIN AFGHANISTAN. GLI WORKED WITH A COMBINATION OF 3RD PARTY FIRMS AND INDIVIDUALS TO FACILITATE PLACEMENT OF AID.
AFGHAN EMERGENCY FUND:THIS FUND WAS USED TO SUPPORT URGENT NEEDS AS THEY AROSE RELATED TO THE CRISIS IN AFGHANISTAN DURING 2021 FOLLOWING WITHDRAWAL OF FOREIGN FORCES. THESE EXPENSES WERE SPENT ON URGENT NEEDS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FOOD AND SAFE HOUSING.
