THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION CURRENTLY FUNDS PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS THAT DIRECTLY IMPACT THE EDUCATION AND ADVANCEMENT OF MANUFACTURING WOMEN.

HALL OF FAME - THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION'S (WIMEF) 2022 WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY & GALA WAS HELD ON OCTOBER 12, 2022 IN ATLANTA, GA. THE EVENT HONORED THIRTEEN INDUCTEES WHO HAVE MADE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO WOMEN IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR ESTABLISHED CAREERS. MORE THAN 220 GUESTS ATTENDED THE EVENT.
VIRTUALLY LEARNING SERIES - IN 2022 THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION DELIVERED MONTHLY 60-MINUTE VIRTUAL LEARNING SESSIONS FOR THEIR MEMBERS. A TOTAL OF 3,276 REGISTRANTS PARTICIPATED IN 2022, A 6% INCREASE OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR. AVERAGE REGISTRATION REMAINS AT OVER 300 PARTICIPANTS EACH MONTH. ALL OF THE MONTHLY VIRTUALLY LEARNING SESSIONS ARE RECORDED AND AVAILABLE ON-DEMAND YEAR-ROUND BY MEMBERS. ONLINE VIEWS OF THE RECORDED PROGRAMMING INCREASED BY 11% OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR WITH 1,766 VIEWS IN 2022.
EMPOWERING WOMEN IN PRODUCTION PROGRAM - THE WOMEN IN MANUFACTURING EDUCATION FOUNDATION LAUNCHED THE EMPOWERING WOMEN IN PRODUCTION PROGRAM IN 2021 TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF WOMEN IN PRODUCTION OR SHOP-FLOOR ROLES AT MANUFACTURING COMPANIES. THIS POWERFUL PROGRAM'S GOAL IS TO IMPART CORE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS FOR SUCCESS IN MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENTS. THE 20-WEEK COURSE IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THESE TALENTED WOMEN AND TO CONNECT THEM WITH PEERS IN THIS INDUSTRY AND TO INTRODUCE THEM TO INSPIRATIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE INDUSTRY LEADERS. THE PROGRAM EXPANDED FROM ONE COHORT IN 2021 TO THREE COHORTS IN 2022, INCREASING PARTICIPATION BY 185% TO 239 PARTICIPANTS.
