IN 2021, THE ORGANIZATION COMPLETED THE FIRST FULL YEAR OF ITS RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL ON UNCONDITIONAL CASH ASSISTANCE AS PART OF ITS BASIC INCOME PROJECT. THE RESEARCH TEAM CONDUCTED SURVEYS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS AND IN-DEPTH QUALITATIVE INTERVIEWS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED SEVERAL GRANTS TO FUND ITS RESEARCH AND WAS SELECTED TO BE PART OF THE TEAM EVALUATING GIVEDIRECTLYS PROJECT 100, A COVID-19 CASH RELIEF PROGRAM. THE ORGANIZATION ADVISED SEVERAL OTHER GROUPS CONDUCTING CASH ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS ON PROGRAM AND EVALUATION DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION. A SEPARATE, EXPLORATORY RESEARCH PROJECT INVESTIGATING THE ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF AI WAS ALSO LAUNCHED.
