MOSS OFFERED 79 OUTDOOR SCIENCE EDUCATION DAY CAMPS TO K-8 STUDENTS IN GALLATIN AND PARK COUNTIES. OVER 1,139 STUDENTS SPENT 31,000 HOURS EXPLORING SCIENCE CONCEPTS IN THE OUTDOORS, AND 50 STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND CAMPS.
MOSS PROVIDED 8,487 HOURS OF SCIENCE ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS TO 1,459 KIDS IN CLASSROOMS AND ON FIELD TRIPS FOR 27 SCHOOLS. THIRTY PERCENT OF THE SCHOOLS WERE PROVIDED WITH FULL OR PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS.
MOSS HOSTED THE MONTANA MASTER NATURALIST PROGRAM FOR 14 ADULTS WHO WERE CERTIFIED AS HAVING KNOWLEDGE OF THE GEOLOGY, FLORA, AND FAUNA OF OUR AREA. EACH ADULT SPENT 40 HOURS ENGAGING WITH NATURE FOR 560 TOTAL HOURS SPENT OUTSIDE WITH MOSS INSTRUCTORS.
