MINERAL COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (MCCF) WAS ESTABLISHED WHEN A GENEROUS DONOR GAVE A $95,000 GIFT TO THE COMMUNITY AT THE CLOSING OF THE CROWN PACIFIC MILL. THE ENTIRE GIFT WAS PLACED IN AN ENDOWMENT FUND. FROM ITS BEGINNINGS, THE FUND HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY MANAGED BY THE MONTANA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. THE ENDOWMENT HAS GROWN BY MORE THAN 60% SINCE INCEPTION, ALTHOUGH MODEST IN SIZE, ANNUAL MONETARY DISTRIBUTIONS FROM THE MCCF ENDOWMENT HAVE BENEFITED ALL COMMUNITIES OF MINERAL COUNTY. AMONG ITS PAST ACTIVITIES MCCF HAS:- SPONSORED A YOUTH CENTER- HOSTED OCTOBERFEST CELEBRATIONS- PROVIDED FISCAL SPONSORHSIP OF THE TRESTLE CREEK GOLF COURSE- BUILT COMMUNITY PLAYGROUNDMCCF HAS DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN $60,000 IN GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE BENEFIT OF MINERAL COUNTY COMMUNITIES. AS THE ENDOWMENT GROWS, SO DOES THE SIZE OF ANNUAL DISTRIBUTION, THEREFORE GROWTH IS A HIGH PRIORITY.THE MCCF BOARD IS DEDICATED TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN THAT RENEW, RESTORE AND REJUVENATE MINERAL COUNTY. WHILE THEY HONOR THE PAST, THEY ARE FOCUSED ON CREATING A FUTURE OF HOPE AND PROMISE.CURRENTLY MCCF IS:-FINANCIALLY SUPPORTING OVER 30 COUNTY NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WHO PROVIDE A WIDE VARIETY OF ASSISTANCE TO COUNTY RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES AND ECONOMIC SITUATIONS.- PROVIDING ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO FOUR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WHO GO ON TO HIGHER EDUCATION.- SPONSORING THE ANNUAL OLD SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK CAR SHOW- BUILDING A LOCAL COMMUNITY POOL
