HABITAT FOR HUMANITY MID YELLOWSTONE VALLEY IS A NON-PROFIT CHRISTIAN MINISTRY THAT BUILDS HOUSES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN NEED. THE HOMES ARE BUILT WITH DONATED AND PURCHASED MATERIALS AND LABOR AND THEN SOLD TO THE FAMILIES AT NO PROFIT AND WITH EITHER A NON-INTEREST-BEARING MORTGAGE HELD BY THE ORGANIZATION OR ALTERNATIVE, UNRELATED LOW-INCOME FUNDING SOURCES. IN ADDITION, A RESTORE RETAIL OPERATION IS CONDUCTED WHEREIN DONATED BUILDING MATERIALS ARE SOLD TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION IS A LOCAL AFFILIATE OF HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL (HFHI).

PROVIDING LOW-INCOME FAMILIES WITH THE ABILITY TO OWN THEIR OWN HOME THROUGH ASSISTANCE AND SWEAT EQUITY ON THE PART OF FAMILIES AND THROUGH NO-INTEREST LOANS. COMPLETED 3 HOMES THAT WERE TRANSFERRED TO THE NEW HOMEOWNERS, PRELIMINARY WORK BEGAN ON 1 OTHER HOME. ORGANIZATION ACQUIRED AND ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING SEVERAL VACANT LOTS THAT WILL BE USED FOR FUTURE HOME SITES.
RECEIVING DONATED BUILDING MATERIALS AND SELLING THOSE ITEMS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH THE RESTORE THRIFT STORE. EXCESS REVENUE OVER EXPENSES ARE GENERATED TO FUND THE ORGANIZATION'S HOME BUILDING EFFORTS.
