MCAT PROVIDES VIDEO PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES, TRAINING, AND AIR TIME FOR A NOMINAL CHARGE ON A NONDISCRIMINATORY BASIS TO THE PUBLIC TO FURTHER THE DIVERSITY OF COMMUNICATIONS. THIS BENEFITS THE ENTIRE MISSOULA COMMUNITY.

MCAT OFFERS EQUIPMENT, CHANNEL TIME, AND TRAINING TO ANYONE IN THE MISSOULA AREA WHO WANTS TO MAKE MEDIA WITHIN THE MISSOULA COMMUNITY. MCAT OFFERS 14 TRAINING MEDIA PRODUCTION OPPORTUNITIES EVERY WEEK WHICH ARE ADVERTISED HEAVILY THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY TELEVISION BULLETIN BOARD AND COMMUNITY RADIO PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS. MCAT ALSO PROVIDES SERVICE TO LOCAL CITY AND COUNTY GOVERNMENTS, AND THE MISSOULA COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. THIS YEAR MCAT PROVIDED 1400 HOURS OF COVERAGE FOR CITY COUNCIL, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS AND 1000 HOURS FOR MISSOULA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND CITY-COUNTY AGENCIES. MCAT OFFERS LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS UP TO 12 HOURS OF TIME TO PRODUCE MEDIA RELATED TO THEIR GROUPS MISSIONS. IN FISCAL YEAR 2023 271 DIFFERENT GROUPS REQUESTED THE SERVICE RESULTING IN 365 PROGRAMS. IN-KIND DONATIONS TO LOCAL MISSOULA GROUPS HAVE REACHED OVER $2.7 MILLION DOLLARS SINCE THE PROGRAM BEGAN IN 2001.
