MISSOULA FOOD BANK & COMMUNITY CENTER CONTINUED TO OPERATE HIGH QUALITY PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. OUR STORE HAS BEEN BUSIER THAN EVER BEFORE. WE TRANSITIONED BACK TO A CHOICE MODEL GROCERY STORE ALLOWING OUR CUSTOMERS TO CHOOSE THE FOODS THAT WILL MEET THEIR NEEDS. CUSTOMERS ARE WELCOME TO VISIT OUR STORE AS OFTEN AS THEY NEED. THIS IS A CHANGE FROM YEAR'S PAST AND IS INTENDED TO SUPPORT OUR CUSTOMERS THAT MAY NEED FOOD MORE OFTEN. IT IS ALSO DESIGNED TO OFFER DIGNITY WITH EVERY SHOP. IN ADDITION TO OUR CORE GROCERY STORE PROGRAMMING, WE OFFER MANY FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMS PRIMARILY FOCUSED ON CHILDHOOD HUNGER, AND SENIOR NUTRITION. OUR KIDS TABLE PROGRAM WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH PARTNER ORGANIZATION TO DISTRIBUTE MEALS TO KIDS, FOCUSING ON TIMES WHEN THEY'RE NOT IN SCHOOL. OUR SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO REMOVE BARRIERS FOR OUR AGING NEIGHBORS THAT ARE OFTEN LIVING ON A FIXED INCOME. BEYOND, OUR EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS, WE ENGAGED OUR COMMUNITY IN THE WORK WE DO THIS PAST YEAR. WE HAVE OVER 700 VOLUNTEERS EACH MONTH, WE HOSTED MULTIPLE COMMUNITY EVENTS, AND ENGAGED OUR COMMUNITY IN CONVERSATIONS ABOUT FOOD INSECURITY IN MISSOULA.
