MONTANA RECOVERY CRISIS LINE IS WAS A COVID-19 SPECIFIC CRISIS CALL CENTER AVAILABLE TO ALL MONTANANS STAFFED BY CRISIS COUNSELORS. CALLS TO THE LINE ARE FREE CONFIDENTIAL AND ANONYMOUS. CRISIS COUNSELORS HELP IDENTIFY INFORMATION AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO CALLERS AND PROBLEM SOLVE THROUGH THE STRESS THEY ARE EXPERIENCING PROVIDE THAT IMMEDIATE LISTENING EAR WITHOUT JUDGEMENT OFFER EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND FOCUS ON IMMEDIATE NEEDS. CRISIS COUNSELORS ARE NON-CLINICAL AND THERFORE THEY DO NOT TAKE A DEEP DIVE INTO SOMEONE'S PERSONAL LIFE AS A THERAPIST WOULD. CRISIS RESPONSE CALL LINE: -877-503-0833. THE CRISIS RESPONSE CALL LINE WAS AVAILABLE MONDAY THRU SUNDAY FROM 10AM TO 10PM THROUGH FEBRUARY 2023. MONTANA WARM LINE - FOR MONTANANS WHO STRUGGLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH LIVE FAR AWAY FROM SERVICES AND NEED HELP WITH THEIR RECOVERY PLAN. THERE ARE FEW OPTIONS FOR THOSE THAT DON'T HAVE SERVICES IN THEIR COMMUNITY AND NEED SUPPORT WITH THEIR MENTAL ILLNESS WITHOUT TRAVELING LONG DISTANCES. SINCE 2009 MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA OF MONTANA HAS RUN A "VIRTUAL DROP IN CENTER" WHICH UTILIZES THE TELEPHONE AND INTERNET TO PROVIDE HOME BASE SUPPORT SERVICE FOR PEOPLE WHO PRESENT WITH MENTAL HEALTH STRUGGLES. THE RECOVERY LINE IS FOR PEOPLE WHO IDENTIFY WITH A MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSIS WHO WANT TO TALK TO A PEERTHAT IS A PERSON WHO IS IN RECOVERY FOR HER HIS THEY OWN MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSIS CONSIDERED A PERSON WITH A LIVED EXPERIENCE. THE MONTANA WARMLINE RECOVERY LINE PROVIDES A FRIENDLY AND UNDERSTANDING PERSON FOR THOSE WHO JUST NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TOO AND GET SUPPORT. THE WARMLINE IS NOT A CRISIS LINE HOWEVER RESPONDERS OF THE LINE CAN REFER PEOPLE WHO ARE CONSIDERING SUICIDE OR ARE OTHERWISE IN CRISIS TO THE APPROPRIATE SERVICES.
MONTANA YOUTH UNITED - IS ABOUT PROVIDING ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION FOR MONTANA YOUTH FROM MONTANA YOUTH IN MATTERS OF MENTAL HEALTH. PROVIDING SAFE ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION FOR MONTANA YOUTH BY MONTANA YOUTH IN MATTERS OF MENTAL HEALTH IS OUR ULTIMATE GOAL. MONTANA YOUTH UNITED IS MADE UP OF YOUTH 16 YEARS TO 25 YEARS WHO WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE MENTAL WELLBEING OF YOUTH ACROSS MONTANA. YOUTH PARTICIPATE AS BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEMBERS RECRUIT YOUTH ACROSS THE STATE TO JOIN THE ORGANIZATION AND HOLD EVENTS THAT OFFER SUPPORT EDUCATION AND A CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH OTHER YOUTH. THE END GOAL IS TO HAVE FUNDING TO INITIATE A YOUTH CONNECTION TELEPHONIC AND SOCIAL MEDIA BASED TOOLS TO SUPPORT OUR YOUTH.
