THE PARADE COMMITTEE NOMINATES A PARADE MARSHAL, AND THE RECIPIENTS OF THE JOHN AND AGNES BURKE AWARD, THE PAUL G CARON AWARD, AND THE MARY B TROY AWARD. ADDITIONALLY, THE PARADE COMMITTEE AWARDS AN ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP IN HONOR OF MOSSIE AND KATHLEEN MURPHY TO A FINALIST IN THE COLLEEN COMPETITION.THE PARADE MARSHAL AND THE RECIPIENTS OF THE JOHN AND AGNES BURKE AWARD SHALL BE OF IRISH DECENT. THE PARADE MARSHAL WILL LEAD THE WHOLE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES CONTINGENTS IN THE ANNUAL CITY OF HOLYOKE ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE.
