CLINICAL TREATMENT SERVICE SCHOLARSHIPS - PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO CLIENTS SEEKING AUTISM TREATMENT SERVICES INCLUDING EARLY ASSESSMENT, DIAGNOSIS, NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS, EARLY START DENVER MODEL INTERVENTION TREATMENT, SPEECH THERAPY AND APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS THERAPY. GRANT-A-GIFT AUTISM FOUNDATION TOOK OVER THE ACKERMAN AUTISM CENTER OPERATIONS FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA AT LAS VEGAS EFFECTIVE JUNE 28, 2021. THE FOUNDATION CREATED A WHOLLY-OWNED, SINGLE-MEMBER LLC TO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES TO ITS PATIENTS.
GROUP SOCIAL TREATMENT SERVICE SCHOLARSHIPS - PROGRAMS INCLUDE BUDS, TEENBUDS, AND THE DAILY LIVING SKILLS PROGRAM. THESE PROGRAMS FOCUS ON BUILDING UP AND DEVELOPING SOCIAL PLAY LIFE SKILLS FOR CHILDREN IN DIFFERENT AGE BRACKETS FROM 6-18 YEARS OLD. CHILDREN ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN MUCH NEEDED SKILLS AND LEARN HOW TO INTERACT WITH PEERS IN A NURTURING ENVIRONMENT ULTIMATELY CREATING FUTURE SUCCESS IN THE RELATIONSHIPS, THE WORKPLACE AND THE COMMUNITY. GRANT-A-GIFT AUTISM FOUNDATION WORKS IN COORDINATION WITH THE UNLV ACKERMAN CENTER TO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES.
VOCATIONAL PROGRAMMING - PROGRAMS INCLUDE TEENWORKS COMMUNITY, THE SPARK PROGRAM, INTERNSHIPS AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT. OCCUPATIONAL READINESS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS PROGRAMS CONSIST OF COMMUNITY-BASED VOCATIONAL/LIFE-PREP TRANSITION PROGRAMS, SERVING INDIVIDUALS 13-18 (UP TO 22 IF ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL) YEARS OF AGE ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM. ALONG WITH GAINING A COMPREHENSIVE SET OF JOB READINESS SKILLS ACROSS MULTIPLE SETTINGS, PARTICIPATNTS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO GAIN SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS ACROSS MULTIPLE SETTINGS, PARTICIPANTS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO GAIN SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR A SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION INTO PAID WORKING POSITIONS AND OTHER AREAS OF ADULTHOOD. QUATERLY REPORTS FOCUS ON TRACKING INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRESS THROUGHOUT THE PROGRAM BY THEIR ASSIGNED THERAPIST.
