APANO CUF RESPONDED TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC TO HELP ASIAN, PACIFIC ISLANDER, AND OTHER COMMUNITIES INCLUDING FAMILIES, ELDERS, SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS, RENTERS, AND OTHERS, NAVIGATE THE CHALLENGES OF THE PANDEMIC. SUPPORT INCLUDED DISTRIBUTING PPE AND RESOURCES, SHARING TRANSLATED MATERIALS, CONVENING VIRTUAL EVENTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO GATHER ONLINE, AND CO-HOSTING VACCINATION EVENTS.

WE ALSO HOSTED 250 PARTICIPANTS VIRTUALLY THROUGH OUR 2020 EAST PORTLAND ARTS AND LITERARY FESTIVAL, WHICH FOCUSED ON RESILIENCE, CARE AND TRANSFORMATION.
WE HELP COMMUNITIES MEET BASIC NEEDS THROUGH FOOD SECURITY, RENTAL ASSISTANCE, PPE DISTRIBUTION, WORKERS RELIEF FUNDING, SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS, AND IN PROVIDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO SMALL AND EMERGING FIRMS. WE HAVE ALSO ASSISTED IN CULTURALLY AND LANGUAGE SPECIFIC SHARING OF PUBLIC HEALTH INFORMATION AROUND COVID AND VACCINE ENROLLMENT.
