THE EAST PALO ALTO KIDS FOUNDATION IS A COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY AND ACADEMIC SUCCESS FOR STUDENTS IN EAST PALO ALTO AND EASTERN MENLO PARK.

EPAK ISSUES REIMBURSEMENTS TO CLASSROOM TEACHERS AND OTHER FRONTLINE EDUCATORS IN EAST PALO ALTO AND EASTERN MENLO PARK SO THAT THEY CAN BUY SUPPLIES FOR THEIR CLASSROOMS THAT SUPPORT THE BASIC CURRICULUM AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONALLY ENRICHING ACTIVITIES. WE PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 412 GRANTS OF UP TO 750. THE TEACHERS APPLIED FOR PROJECTS OF THEIR OWN CHOOSING. TYPICAL REQUESTS WERE FOR MATH AND READING INSTRUCTION, AS WELL AS FOR FIELD TRIPS. EPAK ALSO HOSTED A WORKING DINNER FOR TEACHERS WHICH INCLUDED A PROMOTIONAL VIDEO AND SMALL GIFTS.
NEW TEACHER GRANTS - 68 GRANTS OF 375 EACH WERE GIVEN TO TEACHERS NEW TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO BUY CLASSROOM SUPPLIES.
