LEADERSHIP SAN JOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO TRAIN BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY PERSONS TO BE LEADERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, GOVERNMENT AND EDUCATION STRUCTURES IN THE COMMUNITY. LEADERSHIP TRAINING IS INCORPORATED INTO THE SESSIONS TO TEACH PARTICIPANTS HOW TO TAKE ACTION TO SOLVE COMMUNITY PROBLEMS AND ISSUES. THE DAY-LONG SESSIONS ARE HELD MONTHLY IN VARIOUS PLACES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY. THERE WERE NO PARTICIPANTS IN THIS YEAR'S PROGRAM.
STRIVE SAN JOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO CONNECT INDUSTRY ANDEDUCATION TO PREPARE ALL STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS. ITS GOAL IS TOFACILITATE DEEP REGIONAL PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN SCHOOLS, HIGHER EDUCATIONINSTITUTIONS, EMPLOYERS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO ALIGNEDUCATION SYSTEMS WITH PATHWAYS TO CAREERS, INCLUDING MARKET ALIGNEDCURRICULA AND WORK-BASED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.
