THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE PRWCA IS TO IMPROVE THE BUSINESS CONDITIONS OF THE GRAPE GROWING AND WINE PRODUCING INDUSTRY IN THE PASO ROBLES VITICULTURAL AREA LOCATED IN SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.

Part 3 - Line 4a
MEMBER EVENTS AND SERVICES INCLUDED AN ANNUAL BANQUET, EDUCATIONAL WINE SEMINARS, AND VARIOUS NETWORKING FUNCTIONS. VARIOUS SEMINARS WERE HELD TO EDUCATE THE GROWERS AND THE TASTING ROOMS. ATTENDENCE FOR THESE SEMINARS WAS ABOUT 100 PEOPLE. THE ALLIANCE ALSO PRODUCED APPROXIMATELY 600 VINEYARD DIRECTORIES FOR GRAPE BUYERS AND MEMBERS.
WEATHER STATIONS WERE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE WEATHER STATIONS ARE USED BY GROWERS AND WINEMAKERS FOR ASSISTANCE IN PEST CONTROL AND IRRIGATION DECISIONS.
PROMOTED LOCAL WINE INDUSTRY TOURISM. PRINTED AND DISTRIBUTED A VISITOR BROCHURE - 150,000 COPIES DISTRIBUTED AS WELL AS MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE. PROMOTIONAL PROJECTS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS DURING THE YEAR INCLUDED MEDIA RELATIONS AND FAMILIARIZATION TOURS, WEBSITE IMPROVEMENT, TRADE TASTINGS AND TRADE SHOW EXHIBITS. GENERIC ADVERTISING WAS PLACED IN SEVERAL TOURISM PUBLICATIONS SUCH AS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE VISITOR AND CONFERENCE BUREAU. IN ROOM ADVERTISING PROMOTING THE PASO ROBLES WINE REGION WAS PROVIDED TO HOTEL GUESTS.
