Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
TO CONDUCT AN ANNUAL FESTIVAL FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF LOCAL RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES, AS WELL AS TOURISTS IN ORDER TO PROMOTE THE AVOCADO AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY, TO PROVIDE THE FUNDING OF SPONSORSHIPS TO SUPPORT LOCAL COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM WITHIN THE CARPINTERIA VALLEY.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
THE ORGANIZATION NORMALLY SPONSORS A THREE-DAY FESTIVAL IN WHICH NUMEROUS LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS ARE GIVEN A VENUE TO EARN FUNDS AND SHOWCASE THEIR ORGANIZATIONS. DUE TO THE SEVERE COVID RESTRICTIONS, THE ORGANIZATION WAS UNABLE TO SPONSOR A 'LIVE' FESTIVAL. HOWEVER, THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE A VERY LIMITED VIRTUAL EVENT. THIS IS WHY THE REVENUES AND EXPENSES ARE SO MUCH LOWER IN 2020 AND 2021 VERSUS PRIOR YEARS.
