THE ORGANIZATION HELPED INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS IN SAN MATEO COUNTY ADDRESS AND RESOLVE DISPUTES THROUGH CONCILIATION, MEDIATION AND FACILITATION SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTED AND SUPPORTED THE ENGAGEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH PUBLIC AGENCIES AND IN PUBLIC DECISION-MAKING FORUMS. THIS INCLUDES CONVENING AND FACILITATING COMMUNITY MEETINGS, TRAINING PEOPLE IN SKILLS ESSENTIAL FOR LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY BUILDING, AND BUILDING POSITIVE PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN COMMUNITY AND MEMBERS AND INSTITUTIONS SUCH AS SCHOOLS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS.
