YCRC HELPS INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES RESOLVE CONFLICTS, ADDRESS INTERPERSONAL HARMS, AND RESTORE RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH RESTORATIVE JUSTICE AND MEDIATION SERVICES. YCRC'S VISION IS TO CREATE A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE DISCOVER THAT CONFLICT AND HARM CAN BECOME OPPORTUNIES FOR GROWTH AND HEALING.

YCRC CONTINUED TO PROVIDE SERVICE BOTH VIRTUALLY AND IN PERSON IN 2021 AS HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES PERMITTED.COMMUNITY MEDIATION SERVICES: MEDIATION IS A PROCESS OF DISPUTE RESOLUTION IN WHICH ONE OR MORE IMPARTIAL THIRD PARTY INTERVENES IN A CONFLICT WITH THE CONSENT OF THE DISPUTANTS AND ASSISTS THEM IN NEGOTIATING A CONSENSUAL AND INFORMED AGREEMENT IN MEDIATION, THE DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY RESTS WITH THE PARTIES THEMSELVES. THE MEDIATION PROCESS IS VOLUNTARY AND CONFIDENTIAL. YCRC RECEIVED 108 INQUIRIES ABOUT MEDIATION SERVICES.
TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS: TRAINING SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO THE COMMUNITY AND TO VOLUNTEERS ON DIFFERENT TOPICS RANGING FROM MEDIATION, CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND RESTORATIVE JUSTICE. TRAINING PARTICIPANTS IN FY 20 WERE FROM VARIOUS COUNTIES AND STATES.
FACILITATION: YCRC PROVIDES FACILITATION SERVICES TO ENGAGE COMMUNITY MEMBERS ON A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY ISSUES INCLUDING RESTORATIVE CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND COMMUNITY BUILDING.
