AEU IS A LABOR UNION DEDICATED TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF ITS MEMBERS THROUGH BARGAINING,REPRESENTATION AND NEGOTIATIONS.

AT TIMES AEU MUST SEEK LEGAL AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION TO ADVOCATE FOR FAIRNESS IN ENFORCING ITS AGREEMENTS. THESE SERVICES GENERALLY INVOLVE MATTERS WHICH PROMOTE THE GENERAL GOOD AND WELFARE OF MEMBERS AND MAY INVOLVE ARBITRATIONS GRIEVANCES OR OTHER CONTRACT ENFORCEMENT EFFORTS OPINIONS AND OR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONCERNING UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICES ON THE PART OF THE EMPLOYER.


CONVENING SIX MEETINGS PER YEAR OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD: CONVENING SIX MEETING PER YEAR OF THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP; COVENING SIX MEETING PER YEAR OF THE STEWARDS; ANNUAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE; TWO RATIFICATION MEETINGS ATTEND CSEA CONFERENCE. THE EXECUTIVE BOARD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION AND MAY ADOPT POLICIES AND DELEGATE POWER AS IT DEEMS NECESSARY AND RELEVANT AS GOVERNED BY CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS OF THE ORGANIZATION. UNION STEWARDS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPRESENTATIONAL MATTERS WITH GRIEVANCES AND EMPOWERED TO REACH SETTLEMENT IN MATTERS OF DISPUTE. GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS ARE WHERE MEMBERS CONVENE TO DISCUSS AND DEBATE MATTERS TO GENERAL WELFARE OF ALL MEMBERS.


THE AEU BARGAINING COMMITTEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPRESENTING THE INTERESTS OF THE MEMBERSHIP IN THE MATTERS RELATED TO NEGOTIATIONS ON ALL SUBJECTS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF BARGAINING TO THE NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS ACT. THESE EFFORTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PRE-NEGOTIATIONS EFFORTS CRAFTING PROPOSALS CALLING FOR MEETING OF THE MEMBERSHIP TO RATIFY PROPOSALS AND SETTLEMENTS BARGAINING WITH THE EMPLOYER AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.
