HAMLET HOUSE ADULT FAMILY HOME PROVIDES ATTENTIVE, PROFESSIONAL 24-HOUR CARE ON LOPEZ ISLAND FOR INDIVIDUALS NEEDING ASSISTANCE WITH THE TASKS OF DAILY LIFE. MENTAL HEALTH AND DEMENTIA CERTIFIED. HOME-LIKE ENVIRONMENT, SIX PRIVATE ROOMS, SUNNY COMMUNAL DINING ROOM AND LIVING ROOM. IN-HOUSE PROJECT/ACTIVITY CENTER PLUS SENIOR ADA ACCESSIBLE GARDENS ADDED IN 2014. MEETS ALL CERTIFICATIONS AND EXAMINATIONS BY WASHINGTON STATE AND USDA.
THE HAMLET COTTAGES OPENED IN 2008 TO GIVE FULLY INDEPENDENT LOPEZ ISLAND SENIORS THE OPPORTUNITY TO REMAIN IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITY WHEN THEY WERE READY TO DOWNSIZE. IN ADDITION TO 14 1- AND 2-BEDROOM GARDEN COTTAGES FOR RENT, THE COMMUNITY FEATURES THE GATHERING PLACE, OUR CENTER FOR WELLNESS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. SEVEN 1- BEDROOM COTTAGES ARE AVAILABLE AT REDUCED RATE FOR THOSE WITH MODERATE INCOME. LOCATED IN THE HEART OF LOPEZ ISLAND, THE HAMLET COTTAGES HAVE BECOME A NURTURING, CARING COMMUNITY OF VIBRANT SENIORS. NOW SERVING MANY OFF-ISLANDERS AS WELL AS LOCALS.
