SHARE THE HARVEST FOUNDATION ARRANGES FOR THE AREA RICE GROWERS & ASSOCIATED VENDORS TO CONTRIBUTE RICE TO THE FOUNDATION, OR TO CONTRIBUTE THE USE OF LAND, FERTILIZER, SEED, LABOR, CROP DUSTING ETC., TOWARDS THE PRODUCTION OF RICE. THE FOUNDATION THEN ARRANGES FOR THE MILLING & BAGGING OF THE RICE FOR SALE OR DISTRIBUTION TO HOUSTON AREA FOOD BANKS AT THE COST OF BAGGING & MILLING THE RICE. AS A RESULT, THE FOOD BANKS HAVE A CONSTANT SOURCE OF RICE FOR PENNIES PER POUND.
