THE SAFETY COUNCIL OF TEXAS MID-COAST (SCTMC) WAS ESTABLISHED AS A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION ON AUGUST 5, 1991 AND IS DRIVEN BY THE REQUESTS OF OWNER AND CONTRACTOR SUBSCRIBERS. SCTMC AS A TEXAS-BASED COMPANY IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ALL CUSTOMERS WITH HIGH QUALITY TRAINING, ASSESSMENT, AND CONSULTING SERVICES SUITED TO THEIR SPECIFIC NEEDS AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATORY STANDARDS. THE SCTMC TEAM HELPS CLIENTS IN ACHIEVING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF WORKPLACE SAFETY, CONTRACTOR COMPLIANCE, AND PERSONNEL SURETY. OPERATIONS AND TRAINING: SCTMC HAS PLACED SAFETY AS THE TOP PRIORITY SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1991. SCTMC PROVIDES HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING TO INDUSTRIAL WORKERS PROMOTING INCREASED KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION THROUGHOUT THE WORKFORCE. SCTMC OFFERS APPROXIMATELY 1,200 UNIQUE TRAINING COURSES IN SAFETY COMPLIANCE, KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT, AND SKILL IMPROVEMENT. SCTMC HAD 16,521 STUDENT VISITS IN 2023 AND COMPLETED 72,129 TRAINING UNITS IN HANDS-ON INSTRUCTOR-LED AND COMPUTER-BASED SAFETY TRAINING CLASSES FOR INDUSTRIAL SAFETY TRAINING, GENERAL SAFETY, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND COMPANY AND SITE-SPECIFIC ORIENTATIONS. SCTMC SERVES APPROXIMATELY 270 MEMBER COMPANIES AND AN ADDITIONAL 330 NON-MEMBER COMPANIES. SINCE 2022, SCTMC HAS EXPANDED ITS SKILLS TRAINING TO INCLUDE CRANE AND RIGGING TRAINING, FIRE EXTINGUISHER SAFETY, SUPPLIED AIR, AND FIRST AID/CPR.
