BROTHER BILL'S HELPING HAND MINISTERS TO THE DALLAS COMMUNITY BY ENSURING THE ESSENTIALS OF LIFE, EMPOWERING THROUGH LEARNING, AND ENRICHING RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH FAITH, FAMILY, FITNESS, AND FINANCE.

THE BBHH FOOD PANTRY ON AVERAGE PROVIDED FOOD TO 300 TO 350 FAMILIES EACH WEEK PROVIDING FOOD EACH TIME. WHEN COMING TO THE FOOD PANTRY THEY ALSO BECOME AWARE OF OTHER OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND PREVENTATIVE HEALTH CARE. THE GROCERY STORE (FOOD PANTRY) HAD OVER 34,894 RECIPIENTS IN 2021 ASSISTING OVER 10,447 HOUSEHOLDS.
THE BBHH COMMUNITY CLINIC PROVIDES QUALITY HEALTH CARE TO ADULTS IN THE COMMUNITY. THE CLINIC IS STAFFED BY VOLUNTEER DOCTORS, A FULL-TIME PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANT, CLINIC MANAGER, CLINIC COORDINATOR, AND THREE MEDICAL ASSISTANTS. SPECIALIZED CARE IS AVAILABLE THROUGH VARIOUS PARTNERSHIPS. IN ADDITION TO MEDICAL CARE, BBHH PROVIDES 5 DAY A WEEK COUNSELING SERVICES, DIABETES EDUCATION, FREE MAMMOGRAMS, FLU SHOTS, AND NUTRITIONAL TRAINING. THE COMMUNITY CLINIC HAD OVER 6,426 APPOINTMENTS IN 2021.
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF DALLAS AND UNITED WAY, BBHH PROVIDES FINANCIAL RELIEF TO OUR FAMILIES BY ASSISTING THOSE THAT QUALIFY WITH RENTAL AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE. FUNDING ENABLES BBHH TO HELP NEIGHBORS WITH ANY MONTHS THEY ARE BEHIND ON THEIR RENT AS WELL AS PAYING UP TO THREE ADDITIONAL MONTHS TO ALLOW THEM THAT TIME TO GET BACK ON THEIR FEET.
