Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ORGANIZATION CEASED OPERATIONS IN 2018. FOR TWENTY YEARS, CIRCLE OF FRIENDS: CELEBRATING LIFE, INC ("COF") HAS EDUCATED, EQUIPPED, AND EMPOWERED WOMEN TO LIVE THEIR BEST LIFE, FREE OF VIOLENCE, AND TO PAY IT FORWARD BY SERVING AND MENTORING OTHER WOMEN AND GIRLS. THROUGHOUT THESE TWO DECADES, CIRCLE OF FRIENDS HAS COLLABORATED WITH FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL AGENCIES; NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS; COLLEGES; AND UNIVERSITIES TO FIGHT THE HORRORS OF CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING AND EXPLOITATION IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS GEORGIA AND THE COUNTRY. COF ADOPTED A TWO-PRONGED APPROACH TO ACHIEVING ITS GOALS: PROGRAMMING AND ADVOCACY. COF DEVELOPED PROGRAMS BASED ON PREVENTATIVE TRAINING AND PROVEN INTERVENTION AND REHABILITATION STRATEGIES, INCLUDING SAFE REFUGE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO COUNTER THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF CHILD ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION. COF'S ADVOCACY EFFORTS ALSO PAVED A PATH TOWARD THE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION OF TRAFFICKING AND EXPLOITATION THROUGH LEGISLATIVE AND GRASSROOTS COMMUNITY CAMPAIGNS. THE WORK THAT WE HAVE DONE NOT ONLY TRANSFORMED LIVES BUT ALSO ADDRESSED AND OFFERED SOLUTIONS FOR A CULTURE OF VIOLENCE THAT HAD BEEN IGNORED, HIDDEN, AND MISUNDERSTOOD FOR TOO LONG. AS OUR WAY OF HONORING THIS TWENTY-YEAR JOURNEY, THE GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN WE STOOD IN THE GAP FOR AND THE ROUTE WE HAVE WALKED TOGETHER, WE OFFICIALLY ESTABLISHED ON NOVEMBER 8, 2018, AN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP, THE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS IMPACT SCHOLARSHIP FUND. THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS OUR LEGACY, A TANGIBLE AND LASTING MEANS OF UNLEASHING HOPE AND UNITING HUMANITY, OUR ULTIMATE COMMITMENT.
