TESFA FOUNDATION WORKS PRIMARILY IN THE SOUTHERN NATIONS, NATIONALITIES, AND PEOPLES' REGION (SNNPR) OF ETHIOPIA IN THE ZONE OF KEMBATA-TEMBARO (POPULATION 680,837), SERVING THREE COMMUNITIES: KOLOLO, FUNDAME, AND AZEDEBO. WE CURRENTLY SERVE 750 STUDENTS IN PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 4TH GRADE. FIVE DAYS PER WEEK FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH JUNE, CHILDREN LEARN AMHARIC, ENGLISH, AND THEIR LOCAL LANGUAGE. OUR ALL-ETHIOPIAN STAFF ALSO TEACH THE STUDENTS MATHEMATICS, READING, SCIENCE, AND BASIC LIFE-SKILLS. AT THE START OF THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR, WE ADDED A SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM IN ALL THREE SCHOOLS.
