A COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE CENTER FOR CANCER PATIENTS, FAMILES, & ONCOLOGY PROFESSIONALS. THE CENTER ASSISTS IN THEIR SEARCH FOR INFORMATION, ADVOCACY, SUPPORT SERVICES, AND SUPPLIES. > 18,000 PATIENT FAMILIES WERE SERVED BETWEEN 2002 AND 2021 IN OR FROM 10 PARISHES IN SOUTH LOUISIANA.

PROGRAM SERVICES PROVIDED TO CLIENT PATIENTS INCLUDE RESOURCE LIBRARY MATERIALS, PATIENT AND CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPS, SURVIVORSHIP PROGRAMS AND CONSULTATIONS BY THE ORGANIZATION'S STAFF INCLUDING ITS SERVICE COORDINATORS AND WELLNESS CENTER STAFF. PROGRAMS CALLED SMILES FOR MILES, SPA NIGHT, CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS AND A WELLNESS CENTER WITH GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES ARE EXAMPLES. THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON-SITE AT MPCS' OFFICE.
