MEDHEALTH IS A TEXAS NON-PROFIT AND TAX-EXEMPT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION SUPPORTING THE METHODIST HOSPITALS OF DALLAS (MHD) MISSION OF PROVIDING MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE POPULATION IN ITS SERVICE AREA. MEDHEALTH EMPLOYS OVER 239 PROVIDERS IN PRIMARY AND SPECIALTY CARE IN 54 LOCATIONS ACROSS THE DFW METROPLEX. MEDHEALTH'S TWENTY-THREE (23) PRIMARY CARE FACILITIES HAD OVER 236,009 PATIENT ENCOUNTERS IN FISCAL YEAR 2021. IT EMPLOYS SPECIALISTS IN THE FIELDS OF NEUROSURGERY, OTOLARYNGOLOGY, ORTHOPEDIC, GASTROENTEROLOGY, MEDICAL AND RADIATION ONCOLOGY, BREAST SURGERY,GENERAL SURGERY AND CARDIOLOGY. IN ADDITION, MEDHEALTH EMPLOYS THE GENERAL TRAUMA AND ORTHOPEDICTRAUMA SURGEONS WHO STAFF THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT METHODIST DALLAS MEDICAL CENTER. IN THIS CAPACITY, THEY CARE FOR THE CHARITABLE AND NON-INSURED PATIENTS THAT PRESENT AT THAT FACILITY.
