COMMUNITY INITIATIVES - THE FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT (FCE) FOSTERS EMPOWERED COMMUNITIES BY HELPING PEOPLE IN FORGOTTEN NEIGHBORHOODS ARTICULATE A COMMON AGENDA, EXERCISE THEIR OWN CAPACITY FOR INTERNAL CHANGE, AND FORGE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH EXTERNAL INSTITUTIONS AND POWER STRUCTURES.
EDUCATIONAL/INSTITUTIONAL CHANGE - FCE WORKS TO IDENTIFY SYSTEMIC PROBLEMS ENDEMIC TO DISTRESSED NEIGHBORHOODS AND TO COLLABORATE WITH MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO FIND AND IMPLEMENT SOLUTIONS.
