THE BIRDVILLE EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR BIRDVILLE ISD STUDENTS. ITS MISSION IS TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE LEARNING AND PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE. A VOLUNTEER SUPPORTED ORGANIZATION, THE FOUNDATION FUNDS GRANTS THAT ALLOW OUR EDUCATORS TO INVIGORATE STUDENTS' MINDS BY STIMULATING CREATIVE THINKING, ENCOURAGING INNOVATION, BROADENING LIFE EXPERIENCES AND ENRICHING CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENTS.

INNOVATIVE TEACHING GRANTS & PTA ASSISTANCE THE BIRDVILLE EDUCATION FOUNDATION (BEF) IS A NON-PROFIT, COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED IN 1996. THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT THE CREATION OF INNOVATIVE PROJECTS THAT WILL ENRICH THE EDUCATION AND GROWTH OF ALL STUDENTS IN BIRDVILLE ISD. BEF ACCOMPLISHES ITS MISSION THROUGH ITS GRANT PROGRAMS. BEF PROVIDES FUNDS TO FINANCE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THE REGULAR OPERATING BUDGET OF BIRDVILLE ISD AND TARGETS AREAS SUCH AS ENRICHMENT OF CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION IN THE CLASSROOM, IN THE SCHOOL, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND TEACHER LEARNING, STUDENT LEADERSHIP, SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY COLLABORATION, AND COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN ALL ASPECTS OF EDUCATION. BIRDVILLE EDUCATION FOUNDATION AWARDED FUNDS THIS SPRING FOR INNOVATIVE TEACHER GRANTS TOTALING 121,830. TO DATE, THE FOUNDATION HAS GIVEN OVER 2,177,724 IN TEACHER GRANTS SINCE 2001.
