THE DENTON HOLIDAY FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION, INC. (DHFA) PROVIDED A FAMILY-FRIENDLY FESTIVAL HELD IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN DENTON, INCLUDING THE DENTON COUNTY COURTHOUSE-ON-THE-SQUARE & HISTORIC PARK TO START THE HOLIDAY SEASON AND CELEBRATE OUR COMMUNITY AND HISTORIC DOWNTOWN. THE ALL-VOLUNTEER BOARD HOSTS THE TREE LIGHTING, PROVIDES FREE MUSICAL AND ARTS/CRAFTS ENTERTAINMENT, AND ORGANIZES FOOD VENDORS, CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES, CARRIAGE RIDES, AND OTHER FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES. IN 2019 APPROXIMATELY 18,000 INDIVIDUALS ATTENDED THE EVENT WITH OVER 350 TOYS COLLECTED FOR IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN WITHIN THE DENTON AREA.
