Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
SERVANTS OF CHRIST INTERNATIONAL OPERATES EXCLUSIVELY FOR RELIGIOUS, CHARITABLE, AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. WE ARE AN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE TO CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS. WE SEEK TO ENLIST THEM, EQUIP THEM, AND MOBILIZE THEM INTO MISSIONS AND MINISTRY BOTH AT HOME AND ABROAD.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
2022 WAS THE FIRST FULL POST-COVID YEAR AND WE WERE ABLE TO SERVE MANY MORE PEOPLE IN MANY MORE SITUATIONS. WE STILL HAVE OUR BATTALION OF MISSIONARIES, MORE INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS THAN EVER BEFORE, AND MORE DONORS THAN IN ANY PREVIOUS YEAR.WE FOUND OURSELVES SENDING GRANTS TO KNOWN UKRAINIAN PASTORS, BOTH THOSE STILL IN UKRAINE AND THOSE WHO HAD LEFT BUT RETURNED DURING THE WAR TO DO MINISTRY. WE PROVIDED FUNDS FOR FUEL FOR SEVEN BUSES TO GO INTO KIEV AND EVACUATE PEOPLE, INCLUDING ONE BUS FILLED WITH ORPHANS. ANOTHER PARTNER IN NEARBY POLAND WORKED WITH 400+ UKRAINIANS WHO CAME INTO HIS TOWN. HIS CHURCH FED AND HOUSED AND CLOTHED AND MINISTERED TO THESE PEOPLE OVER A SIGNIFICANT PERIOD OF TIME. ANOTHER IN ROMANIA, WHO FREQUENTLY GOES INTO MOLDOVA, MINISTERED TO THREE GROUPS WITH SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF BULK FOOD PURCHASED BY OUR GRANTS AND DISTRIBUTED WITH THE HELP OF LOCAL CHURCHES: UKRAINIAN AND RUSSIAN EMIGREES, AS WELL AS LOCAL MOLDOVANS IN POVERTY. OUR MINISTRY SENT GRANTS INTO KENYA, UGANDA, BURUNDI, ZAMBIA, ZIMBABWE, AND PERU FOR CHURCH CONSTRUCTION. IN PERU, WE ALSO FUNDED THE BUILDING OF A BOAT TO DO MINISTRY ALONG HE TRIBUTARIES OF THE AMAZON, WHERE THERE ARE NO ROADS.IN THE PHILIPPINES MOSTLY, BUT ALSO MYANMAR, AND UGANDA, WE DRILLED WATER WELLS, BUILT CISTERN TANKS THAT TAPPED INTO SPRINGS, REPAIRED BROKEN WELLS, AND PROVIDED ELECTRIC METERS FOR PASTORS HOUSES WHERE THE GOVERNMENT HAD (FINALLY) EXTENDED POWER LINES TO THEIR VILLAGES. NOTABLY IN EASTERN KENYA, FOLLOWING COVID SEASON, THE CONTINUING DROUGHT LED TO MULTIPLE REQUESTS FROM MULTIPLE PARTNERS FOR EMERGENCY FOOD RELIEF, AND WE WERE BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE DOZENS OF $ 500 GRANTS- THAT BEING THE AMOUNT THAT WILL FILL THE BED OF A PICKUP TRUCK WITH STAPLES OF GRAIN, CORN, WHEAT, RICE, EVEN SALT AND SUCH. THESE STAPLES ARE THEN DIVIDED BY OUR LOCAL PARTNERS INTO SMALLER QUANTITIES THAT ARE HAND CARRIED TO HOMES OF PEOPLE IN NEED. IN WESTERN KENYA, IN THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY, WE SUPPLIED OUR AGENT THERE WITH SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF FUNDS TO PURCHASE FOOD FOR THE RURAL MASAI PEOPLE WHOSE GRAZING LANDS HAD DRIED UP. WE ALSO FUNDED TWO CHURCHES AMONG THIS PEOPLE GROUP.OVER THE YEARS, MORE AMERICAN DONORS ARE CALLING UPON SERVANTS OF CHRIST TO PROCESS AND TRANSFER FUNDS TO CHILDRENS HOMES IN BANGLADESH (ONE), ZIMBABWE (TWO), UGANDA (ONE), KENYA (FOUR) MEXICO (ONE), AND MYANMAR (TWO).WE ARE ALSO NOW WORKING WITH PARTNER AGENCIES THAT SPONSOR SCHOOL FEES FOR STUDENTS CALLED VULNERABLE CHILDREN. THESE ARE NOT ORPHANS PER SE, BUT ARE CHILDREN UNDER THE CARE OF A RELATIVE OR FAMILY FRIEND, WHO CAN PROVIDE ROOM AND BOARD BUT NOT SCHOOL FEES.WE ALSO HAVE A FAMILY IN COSTA RICA WHO TEACH ESL TO PEOPLE IN ORDER TO HELP THEM FIND BETTER EMPLOYMENT. IN A REMOTE PART OF LUZON ISLAND IN THE PHILIPPINES, WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE GOATS AND CARABAO (WATER BUFFALO) TO FARMERS AND FAMILIES WITH TEENS - RAISING GOATS CAN PROVIDE FUNDS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR THESE TEENS. WE ALSO HAVE TEACHERS OF ENGLISH IN THAILAND AND LIBERIA.IN HAITI, ALL THREE OF OUR MISSIONARIES HAD TO EXIT THE NATION, BUT IN THE CASE OF OUR DAY CARE (FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN) OUR MISSIONARY HAD DEFTLY TRAINED LOCALS AND THOSE LADIES HAVE CONTINUED UNABATED TO OPERATE IN SPITE OF THE CHAOS IN THE COUNTRY.WE ALSO BUY AND GIVE OUT FREELY, BIBLES IN VARIOUS LANGUAGES, DISTRIBUTED MOSTLY BY NATIONAL WORKERS. IN NEPAL, WE PROVIDED FUNDS FOR BLANKETS AND HEAVY COATS IN LIEU OF BIBLES, AS THEIR BASIC NEEDS FOR SURVIVAL WERE IN QUESTION. FINALLY, IN PARTS OF EAST ASIA, WE SUPPORTED PEOPLE WORKING WITH REFUGEES AND EMIGREES WITH GRANTS FOR BASIC SURVIVAL NEEDS. SO PRETTY MUCH ALL OF OUR INTERNATIONAL WORK TAKES PLACE IN THE POORER AND LESS DEVELOPED PARTS OF THE WORLD. WE DO ALMOST NOTHING IN THE HIGHLY DEVELOPED OECD NATIONS OF THE WORLD.
