WEST HARRISON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT IS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE FIRE FIGHTING, RESCUE AND OTHER EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE PRESERVATION OF LIFE AND THE PROTECTION OF PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR OTHER EMERGENCIES WITHIN THE AREA OF ITS OPERATION IN HARRISON COUNTY, TEXAS. THE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES THESE SERVICES THROUGH A MEMBERSHIP OF VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS. THE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES TRAINING IN FIRE PREVENTION, FIREFIGHTING, AND EMERGENCY SITUATIONS TO ITS MEMBERS. THE DEPARTMENT ALSO MAINTAINS PUBLIC RELATIONS WITH THE COMMUNITY AND COMMUNICATES FIRE PREVENTION AWARENESS WITHIN THE AREA IT SERVES.
